Barringer Drive Initiative Celebrates 4th Annual Halloween Safe Trick-or-Treating Zone

This Halloween, the Barringer Drive Initiative once again turned fear into fun by hosting its 4th Annual Safe Trick-or-Treating Zone (STTZ). This event is designed to ensure a joyful and secure holiday for local children and families.

With growing national concerns around candy safety and the alarming rise in illegal drugs being manufactured to look like colorful sweets, the Barringer Drive Initiative took proactive steps to provide a protected and festive space for Halloween celebrations.

The STTZ event transformed Southside Park into a family-friendly zone filled with music, costumes, and candy—without the worry. Children had the chance to enjoy the holiday in a carefully planned environment, while parents found peace of mind knowing safety was a top priority.
